Waving Goodbye 1 [ORIGINAL]
"Waving Goodbye 1" is an acrylic painting on 12x12 inch stretched canvas. The canvas is 1 1/2 inches thick. This painting comes with a black floating frame.
Artist Notes: I've always admired the translucent look of waves as they crest, especially as the sun sits lower on the horizon during sunrises and sunsets. Depending on the minerals in the water and the colors in the sky, the water will reflect different colors. Organic matter such as tannins can sometimes cause a yellowing effect of water. With this particular wave, the light shines through revealing yellows and browns at the top followed by and greens as it blends back into the blue color of the lake and less light is transmitted through. It's such a neat effect and I wanted to showcase it in my "Waving Goodbye" series. This first painting in the series displays a classic "tube" which is when the crest of the wave starts to crash but creates a tube-like opening.

This canvas comes framed without glass. Each painting will have hanging hardware installed.
As with all original artwork, each piece is unique and not without flaws. Photos cannot capture every detail and colors or details might differ slightly from the photographed version.
